Join us for a trip to our local movie house and see the national premiere of "TAKE THE LEAD." Pierre Dulaine will be present so don't miss out!  Open-bar after-party follows the movie at the Dulaine Dancenter. Light treats and special performances.
Please meet at the studio by 6:30pm. (Specific movie time will be announced the first week in April) Party 9-11pm.

A Special Announcement

I am writing this to you from Toronto, Canada, where I have been since March 30th, working with the cast of a New Line Cinema feature film titled “TAKE THE LEAD”. I am very happy (and a bit proud to) to inform you that the movie is primarily about my life and my work with American Ballroom Theater’s outreach program “DANCING CLASSROOMS “, which I started 11 years ago in 2 NYC public schools. From 68 public schools, we are now reaching approximately 12,000 children in 114 schools teaching them the joy, excitement and civility of social ballroom dancing.

The GREAT NEWS is that none other than Broadway and Hollywood star ANTONIO BANDERAS portrays me in the movie! Needless to say that ballroom dancing, whether teaching or performing it, has been my life’s passion and it is truly incredible that after a life-time of putting my heart and soul (and my feet too) into it, and having achieved considerable success performing with my company on Broadway and London in “Grand Hotel” the musical, a real Hollywood movie is being made about my work.
